Racing TrakBox testers needed
Team My Race Data is looking for testers for the racing TrakBox. The racing trakbox is a stand alone self contained data acquisition system. It records vehicle speed, location, weather conditions and G force up to 90 times per second. It records the data automatically on a micro SD card. Simply plug the trakbox into a phone charger and when you begin to move, it starts recording.
Motor sport participates providing real world feedback on our development projects is important. If you are chosen to participate in the testing program, you may receive the hardware free! The team at My Race Data has several new development project underway.
Requirements
- must be 18
- must participate in a legal sanctioned form of motor sport

If you are a racer or a team which participates in a legal sanctioned form of motorsport and are willing to use the racing TrakBox during events, you qualify.

What is the Racing TrakBox?
The racing TrakBox is a data acquisition system
Data acquisition is the process of measuring things in the real world
then converting the results to a digital format which then can be saved for later use.
The racing TrakBox can record things such as vehicle speed and location and save them to a file which may then be viewed on a computer, laptop or tablet

Easy to Use
The racing TrakBox requires no external inputs. The racing TrakBox gathers all it’s data from the onboard sensors. All you need to do is plug it into a phone charging cord.
Open Source Hardware
The racing TrakBox is an open source project.
If you go to the teams github repository you can see a parts list, a wiring diagram and a circuit schematic. If you can solder, you can build one yourself
The firmware the trakbox runs on is also open source. It can be downloaded for free at Team My Race Data github repository
The firmware is open source so you can download it, change it or customize it anyway you please.
