The Canon EF-S 10-18mm 1:4.5-5.6 IS STM is a wide angle lens. It has a 107 degree field of view compared to a typical lens which has about a 45 degree field of view. This field of view is much closer to what humans see with their eyes. The lens features internal stabilization and a dead silent stepper motor auto focus. It uses Canon’s EF-S mount. I have used this lens with a 90D, T4i and an SL2. The lens functioned perfectly on all three cameras and produced stunning crisp pictures. The auto focus works well in video mode as well.
The picture above was shot with a Canon EOS REBEL T4i at f/3.5 1/40 sec. ISO 2000 using a Canon EFS 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS STM lens @ 18mm
