During SRO Motorsports Group’s recent coverage of the GT World Challenge America powered by AWS 2025 Race 2 at Sebring International Raceway on May 18th, 2025 the My Race Data pavilion repeatedly appears in the shot of the exit of turn 5
That shot corresponds with 1:27:00 in our coverage of the event.
When Jean-Frederic Laberge driving the LAB Motorsport by GT Racing Porsche 992 GT3 R in the Pro-Am class had an unforced shunt in turn 13 backing the car into the inside barrier after applying a little too much throttle on the exit a full course yellow resulted. With 18 minutes to go in a hour and a half long race a 5 lap shoot out was in the cards. Swiss driver Philip Ellis driving the Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 got stuck behind Ross Chouest driving the Chouest Povoledo Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R who was actually two places behind Ellis in the running but in front of him behind the pace car with no opportunity to pass. The Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 had an unforced error of their own on the opening lap with driver Jeff Burton (not of NASCAR fame) behind the wheel in the exit of turn 16 and were playing catch up.
At 1:27:15 in our coverage of the event commentator Racer Andy quips ‘those guys are kind of racing’ as Ellis tails Chouest through turn 5 encouraging him to speed up to catch the pack behind the pace car. Once the green flag flew Ellis passed half the field including six in class to secure second place in the Pro Am class.
here is the pavilion later that day before heading home
